Oversight

Providing oversight to funding request development, grant negotiation grant implementation and grant closure is considered an essential function of the Country Coordinating Mechanism. Oversight is one of the CCM areas of focus, which is linked to the Global Fund’s four strategic objectives to maximize impact against HIV, TB and Malaria, promote and protect human rights and gender equality, mobilize increases resources and build resilient and sustainable systems for health.

To fulfill its oversight function, CCM Nepal has established an Oversight Committee to answer the general key oversight questions covering financial, procurement, management, and programmatic aspects of each grant. The main function of the CCM Oversight Committee is to support the full CCM in overseeing each grant.

Oversight Committee on its 121st meeting held on 29th August 2022. The Oversight Committee is chaired by Prof. Dr. Prakash Ghimire, Member of CCM Nepal Representative-Academia/Research Constituency. The committee comprises of a Chair and two members from ML/BL representatives. Moreover, the Chief of the Health Coordination Division at the Ministry of Health and Population and UNAIDS are invitee members of the committee. The fulfillment of remaining membership is ongoing.
