CCM Nepal conducted a meeting with the executive committee, representatives from government entities and PR on 20th December 2019 in MoHP. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Achut Sitaula, the Vice-Chair of CCM Nepal under the honorable presence of Mr. Mahendra Prasad Shrestha, the Executive Committee Member and Chair of Oversight Committee, CCM Nepal.
The meeting agendas were updated on the Global Fund Board’s decision on the funding available for Nepal for the next allocation period, ways forward in response to budget split and development of proposal and AOB. The importance of country dialogue for developing the proposal in line with national strategies and priorities were stressed in the meeting.
CCM Nepal successfully conducted 108th CCM meeting in 16th December 2019. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Achut Sitoula, Vice chair of CCM Nepal and honourable presence of Oversight chair Mr. Mahendra Prasad Shrestha, Ministry of Health and Population. There were presence of 21 CCM members including 21 other Non CCM member such as: representative from Ministry of Social Development of each provinces, representative from PR, LFA and Directors of government entitities(EDCD, NCASC and NTC).
An oversight visit to Sudurpashchim Pradesh was conducted from 23-26th November 2019. The oversight team comprised of an oversight officer and two oversight committee members namely Mr. Sagar Prasad Ghimire (Senior Public Health Administrator, Ministry of Social Development, Province 3) and Mr. Heem Sundar Shakya, (Procurement and Supply Chain Expert). In the visit, meetings with PR (Save the Children, The Global Fund Team, Dhangadi), representatives from Provincial Health Directorate; Ministry of Social Development; Health Office, Dhangadi; and Health Office, Kanchanpur were conducted. Sites visits to different government entities, SR and Sub-SR/CBO namely as National Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nepal (NAP+N); Dhangadi Health Office; Seti Provincial Hospital; Malakheti Hospital; Sahayatra Nepal, Kanchanpur; Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA), Kanchanpur; Health Office, Kanchanpur; Mahakali Hospital, Kanchanpur; Nava Kiran Plus, Tikapur; and Tikapur Hospital, Kailali were conducted.
Furthermore, service care providers and beneficiaries/clients were also interviewed and documents were reviewed.
