COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) Funding Award

CCM Nepal is pleased to share that Nepal has been awarded a COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) Funding Award from the Global Fund with Base Allocation (US$7,745,867) and Above Base Allocation (at least US$7,745,867), which will be added to the existing grants.

After receiving the allocation letter, an Extended Executive Committee meeting was held on 9th April 2021 at which Core Task Team was formed chaired by Prof. Dr. Jageswor Gautam, Chair-Oversight Committee/Chief-HCD, MoHP to lead the entire process of the C19RM Full Funding Request development.

The fast-track request which focus on procurement of essential COVID-19 requirements (50% of base allocation) will be submitted on 30th April 2021 while the full funding request will be submitted on 29th May 2021. Dr. Janak Koirala, the National Consultant is already on board for drafting the fast-track funding request and will continue development of the C19RM full funding request. 

CCM Nepal strongly believes in inclusiveness and transparency. CCM Nepal will conduct consultation meetings with different communities’ civil society and stakeholders for the C19RM full funding request .
